First visit to Maui during the Humpback whale southern mating migration. They prefer the shallower bays of Maui to give birth and mate. During this time, they do not eat at all. I wish I could have captured more pictures during the whale watching, but as it is, I have someone that has to grab me everytime they see something. This makes it very difficult to take pictures....We also went to a luau, traveled the Road to Hana, and got to watch the sun rise on Mount Halakula. It was FREEZING up there. We went up in shorts and had to put on 3 different layers to stay warm. These are just some of the pictures.

These were taken with my old 35 mm Nikon with a 25 - 75 Zoom lens and my little Canon S50 portable camera. We are heading back this year (08) so hopefully I get some better shots with my Digital Rebal XT and zoom lens with the whales, plus we are going to be diving on this trip.
